Purchased after 5 starts in France and Germany winning a Fontainebleau maiden at his 4th start defeating subsequent Gr1 performer Anodin. He won comfortably at Canterbury then just missing out when running 2nd in the 2014 Listed Australia Day Cup. Won 2014 Listed Torney Cup. Big Memory had a terrific 2014 Spring Carnival winning the Gr2 Herbert Power Stakes then being beaten only 2 3/4 lengths in the Gr1 Caulfield Cup. He then ran 2nd in the Gr3 Lexus Stakes and after only just missing a run in the Gr1 Melbourne Cup finished up his campaign with a good 3rd behind stablemate Le Roi in the Gr3 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
