Me Cabo helps Nick Ryan Racing start the season off with a bang

The first starter for the season for Nick Ryan Racing translated into the first winner when Me Cabo took out the Ladbrokes 0-58 Handicap (1211m) at Moe today.

Jumping from barrier 10 and carrying top weight of 60kg Me Cabo began well from the outside draw and soon enough found himself in a great position, in the 1-1 spot. Hooked out at the top of the straight and under strong riding from jockey Rhys McLeod Me Cabo was in front when it mattered most winning by a nose from Coral Reef (52.5kg) with Red Jewel Girl (55kg) a further head back in third.

It was a terrific way to start the season for the Nick Ryan Racing stable and hopefully a good omen for what is to come.
